Tone and Chord Recognition as an Android Application

The aim of this work is to recognize tones and chords on any musical instrument using the microphone on Android mobile devices. The app scans or records the sounds which are analyzed. It writes to a visual representation which is similar to the musical notation. The work describes the problems of recognition and the solution of the problem using fast Fourier transformation and analysis of the spectrum of volumes. Work describes the theory of music and the training of individual tones. The application was subjected to user tests and recognition accuracy tests. The conclusion includes tests results and statistics from the Google Play publication.

This thesis is about creation of music engraving module for system ConTeXt. The module processes input file in MusicXML format. The first part briefly describes existing music engraving software along with short introduction to music engraving. Next part describes usage of the created module. Finally, the procedure of creating the module and drawing individual music objects is described.
Two Pastoral Masses from the Ledenice Music Collection

This bachelor thesis deals with two vocal instrumental compositions from the first half of the 19th century which were designated to be performed during the Christmas worship. The compositions were found at the choir loft of the church in Ledenice in South Bohemia. Compositions of smaller sizes for the minimum cast were performed for the most of the time of the church year because of the abilities of the church musical operation in the small town. Therefore, the ambition of the schoolmasters was performed larger compositions during Christmas. Apart from smaller pastorellas in the Ledenice music collection were found also pastoral masses, which concerning to its range are the most ambitious compositions which can be performed in the countryside. This bachelor thesis also includes the edition of both masses in a digital form, description of the compositions, comparison of the used manners and a critical report.

Ph.D. Thesis Abstract Piano Concerto in G Minor, op. 33, by Antonín Dvořák - Early and Final Version Critical Edition of the Score // Study about the Origin, the First Printing and the Performance Practice The dissertation is focused on the Concerto for Piano by Antonín Dvořák from 1876 - an outstanding composition not only in the Czech milieu but in all the European context as well - , which was a very long time condemned for its "unsuitable" piano part. The thesis summarizes all existing knowledge of the history of the origins and reception of the Dvořák's Piano Concerto, which is further verified on the basis of written contemporary sources (Dvořák's correspondence and contemporary press, sometimes yet unknown). Distorted and false pieces of information are corrected and supplemented with new findings (relating to the performances, interpreters, arrangements). Thanks to them, the author presents a new sight of the history of the reception of this composition from inception until the beginning of present century. For the first time all musical sources are examined in detail and relations between them studied (autograph with revisions between years 1876-1883, a copy of the score, which Leoš Janáček let made in 1878/9 and materials of the first printing J. Problem of typesetting a scientific text using LATEX

The present work is focused on typesetting of scientific text using LaTeX. The main goals is introduce LaTeX to beginners and help them to overcome primary difficulties. Hence, there is explain how to install LaTeX, how to: customize the site appearance, write own text, generate tables and how to insert images, cross-references, mathematical formulas or lists of contents, respectively. The work also includes templates for a book, diploma work, seminar work and laboratory measurements. Each template is focused on another specific LaTeX problem: (i) typesetting of vector graphics and (ii) typesetting of music notes. Templates are prepared in way of "learning by doing", where the source code can be copied and modified using commands shown in the work.
